Please be advised that Zinc and Black Passivate is not a suitable for finish for fasteners where there is a requirement for the finish to impart a cosmetically good black finish that cannot easily be removed by normal wear and tear. Zinc and Black Passivate can be damaged simply by the fasteners rubbing against each other in the box during transit. Customers requiring a black finish for anything other than identification, should specify Zinc Nickel Black which has a high lustre, better corrosion resistance and has much better wear resistance. Zinc Nickel Black is significantly more expensive that Zinc and Black Passivate.
